Looking Back on March

This morning I have been catching up on my blog reading, my Etsy shop and just some over all internet surfing. Another blogger asked on her blog " What were you doing at this time last year?" which got me thinking. When I think back to March 2012 I think of it as the month that I quit the job I had worked at for 4 years. I walked out on a Friday ( with my pay cheque in hand) and never went back.

I'm not a quitter, and when I have quit any other job I always have given notice and respected the company and people I worked for. This office was the exception, and the whole experience kind of left me a little jaded, but at the same time I am so grateful that the events that occurred happened, and I am where I am today.

Today I have a new job which pays me a little less, but I am happy. I walk to work or ride my bike and I no longer have a stressful long transit commute. Today I'm able to focus on my health and I am about 20 Lbs lighter then the days that I worked in that office. I started jogging, and have a goal to run a 5k when I feel I am ready ( I really want to participate in the Color Me Rad run if it comes to Toronto). I've had more time to invest in my Etsy shop and have a goal to take a jewelery class (in September) so I can learn how to work with silver gold and copper metals. I've also made some work friends which I haven't had in 4 years, and I'm looking to expand that and maybe hang out with some of them outside of work. Today I am much happier and I have no regrets about leaving a job that made me so unhappy. Sometimes you just have to be pushed to take a leap.
