Oh February....

Well I guess I have to welcome February with open arms. We have had the longest winter here in Toronto with really chilly days, ice and blasts of wind. Today it snowed, which is actually not that bad compared to the freezing weather. Yesterday was actually nice enough for me to get a run in.

I planed on writing more for January, but I got distracted with opening up my new Jewelry shop. For the past year or two I have been wanting to open a shop with my own creations (from start to finish). I just made my first adjustable brass ring today and plan on making some more items in the days to come. I'm so excited about it, and look forward to showing you guys my first creations before my shop opens in February. Yup, February 20th is my opening day! I picked a name and have bought most of my supplies, so right now it is just a matter of getting some items made and photographed and ready to sell. I am working with brass and copper first and will include some silver items, and I have learned lots of information about patinas and how to finish a piece. I also have bought some of the most beautiful stones for some of the rings I will be making. I am so excited!
