Artist Feature - June Hunter Images

I love finding a beautiful piece of affordable artwork that feels special in my home and makes me happy every time I look at it. Today I wanted to feature some of June Hunter's artwork, and I personally know how wonderful her work is because I have purchased some of her bird pieces that are up on my wall (my little bird collection).

I love that her beautiful photographs look like paintings, and June knows how to captures birds in perfect moments. She also has some botanical prints, tiles and jewelry that you should checkout. If your interested in her work she has a new website, as well as an Etsy shop  June Hunter, where I originally found her artwork.

Saturday Morning Artist Feature

I am a huge fan of wildlife and watercolor paintings, so when I found these prints on Etsy I knew that I had to share my great find. The bunny above is my favorite, and I love the contrast of the yellow wild flowers. You can read about the artist Gillian McMurray.

Her wonderful shop has a mix of hand made paper beads and wildlife prints, so please check it out.

Monday Artist Feature

I was on Tumblr a few nights ago and I stumbled upon this great artist that I had to share with you guys. I don't have a lot of info to go on other then a few links to Flicker and Tumblr, but I still thought that I wanted to share this great artwork here on my blog. I love the urban graffiti feel and I hope to get more info about TerbyWonder other then he ( I think the artist is a he) live in BC Canada. I hope you like these beautiful pieces too!

The Beauty of the Wilderness

Last year my husband and I went to San Francisco for a week. It was a beautiful trip and I had a great time. One of the highlights for me was visiting Rodney Lough Jr. Wilderness Gallery , right down by the Fisherman's Wharf. The photographs were amazing and the printing quality was so spectacular that the colors are so vivid (something the Web can't fully capture). I have never seen such large and beautiful nature photographs. The gallery is large and made of reclaimed wood that has this wonderful woodsy smell. My husband and I spent maybe 2 hours in total in the gallery viewing each photo and sitting in the chairs that are conveniently placed in each room. If you make a trip to San Francisco or live there but have never gone in, then make the effort and check it out (it's free too!).

That's me below (or the back of my head) in Muir Woods. That's another place that's really beautiful that has to be visited when you're in San Fran.

The Ocean

I don't have the opportunity to be by the ocean very much, so when I stumbled upon these beautiful oil paintings of the ocean it took my breath away. I can't even properly put into words how I felt as I browsed through Artist Ran Ortner's site, so I wont. I hope you enjoy and love them too and have a look at his gallery website.
