Labradorite Love and More

Sometimes you need a little Magic in your life ! This season Labradorite is one of my favorite stones, so any pretty cabochons that I can get my hands on will be posted in my shop. I love that each stone has its own lines, and flashes of color. These ones are mainly blue/green flashes, but the diamond shape marquee stone has some purple and orange in it.

A bit about Labradorite and it's Healing Properties:
    Chakras - Base Chakra
Zodiac - LeoScorpioSagittarius
Planet - Uranus
Element - Water
Typical colours - Pale green, blue, colourless, grey-white: with iridescent blue or gold flashes

Powerful in revealing the truth behind illusions, Labradorite banishes fears and insecurities, and strengthens faith in the self and trust in the universe.  It stimulates the imagination and calms an overactive mind, developing enthusiasm and new ideas

It is thought that Labradorite symbolizes the moon and sun and has been found to be a constituent of moon rock. Labradorites metaphor for its purpose: to help reveal one's spiritual destiny. Labradorite is the gemstone of magic, and it awakens in those who carry or wear it the awareness of one’s innate magical powers. This iridescent stone is highly mystical and protective, a bringer of light. It raises consciousness and connects with universal energies. Labradorite deflects unwanted energies from the aura, and prevents energy leakage. It can take you into another world or into other lives. This stone stimulates intuition and psychic gifts, including the art of right timing, bringing messages from the unconscious mind to the surface and facilitating their understanding. It may promote feelings of inner worth, offer inspiration and boost energy. It can assist with change, promote strength, and help you attain your goals.

I hope you love Labradorite as much as I do. This year my shop has some clay and stone pieces made by hand by myself. I also have some thick wire hand forged sterling silver and Labradorite pieces as well as some intricate wire wrapping in silver plated metal. Feel free to check out my shop this Christmas season for some incredible Labradorite necklaces in Silver Plated and Sterling Silver.

Have a great weekend!

What's New in June

I hope that you have been enjoying the beginning of summer. We have been getting a lot of rain, but there have been some nice sunny hot days to enjoy, like today.

I have been updating my shop slowly and even changing my stock a bit. Here are some fresh new items in my shop, such as a personally hand sawed boho cactus, lots of healing stones with some real beauties like the Emerald and Lapis and Citrine I have added.  I will be adding a few more bracelets to my shop, but right now I have a stunning blue stacking bracelet and a lovely ceramic yoga OM encircled by a lotus flower. I hope you see something you like from my shop, and if you do, please enjoy this 25% off coupon : Instagive25  shared here on my blog and Instagram.  Also if you are wondering where I have been and why my blog entries are so sparse, check out my Instagram page and you can see much more of what i'm up to.

As New As Spring

Wow, where have I been? I just noticed how long it has been since I wrote on this blog, and it has been quite long. Life kind of got in the way with some family members health issues, plus my shop was non stop from Christmas time to the end of February. I am finally getting a breather and making time to give you a new entry.

I am so excited to feel a bit of spring in the air. In Toronto the snow has melted, but the sky is grey and gloomy and I think we will get more rain then snow from now on. I love spring because it finally feels like a new beginning of the year. I can get out again, go for a run and get myself in better condition for the summer. I will be sourcing out new plants for my botanical jewelry which will be getting a face lift this year. I thought I would faze out all of my resin plant/flower jewelry altogether, but I just can't do it. I want everyone who buys a necklace to get an even more unique piece that can last for many many years. So, stay tuned for those pretty pieces to come out in April and May. Right now I am working on some really pretty resin pieces which will be fairly priced because I am fazing them out.

I also will be giving my dream of being a metalsmith another shot. I signed up for a intro to Jewelry class in April and I look forward to learning new techniques, and being inspired to see how far I can go. Yesterday there was a Gem show in Toronto, and I bought a few new beautiful Cabochons that I will be making rings and pendants out of. I saw pictures last month of the Tuscan Gem show in Arizona ,and the Toronto Gem show did not compare by a long shot. I wish that in the future I will be able to get out there, even though I am sure I would want to bring everything home with me.

I promise to write in this blog sooner then later. You can also find me on Instagram where I do post new picture very often, especially with the nicer weather coming.

Giveaway Time!

It's time for another Giveaway! I tried to get one out a few weeks ago, but I have been very busy with the Christmas rush and trying to get every order out the next day. To celebrate the holidays and me getting to my 500th sale this year, I will be giving away two necklaces.  Each necklace has a unisex quality about them, so if you are the winner it doesn't matter if you are male or female. The first necklace is an English Flint Arrowhead that will come on a silver plated chain. The second is a Chalcopyrite peacock ore wire wrapped stone pendant. The winner will choose their chain lengths. Enter more then once, and the more you spread the word the greater your chances are of wining. The winner will be announced Dec 27th in the evening. This Giveaway is open to everyone.
