Summer Catch Up

What a wonderful summer I have been having! The weather has been great and I have had the time to get out. Check out my Instagram for photos and to see what I have been up to, like my trip to the ROM, Center Island, Brickworks, and more. I know I have been missing from my blog, and I have been posting most of my photos on my Instagram page just because it has been a bit easier for me to keep up with.

I have been adding a lot of new product to my LOVE n LAVISH shop for back to school and gearing up for the busy Christmas rush. I also have been teaching myself a bit of metalsmithing, and my goal is to have some beautiful copper and silver rings made for you, and listed up in my shop for Christmas time. What's New in June

I hope that you have been enjoying the beginning of summer. We have been getting a lot of rain, but there have been some nice sunny hot days to enjoy, like today.

I have been updating my shop slowly and even changing my stock a bit. Here are some fresh new items in my shop, such as a personally hand sawed boho cactus, lots of healing stones with some real beauties like the Emerald and Lapis and Citrine I have added.  I will be adding a few more bracelets to my shop, but right now I have a stunning blue stacking bracelet and a lovely ceramic yoga OM encircled by a lotus flower. Getting it Together

Today is my day off and I'm still working. I put in quite a few hours today updating my shop with new photos and new products. Unfortunately I didn't do what I needed to do today, which is start making rings for my new shop. I'm coming down with a cold, so today was more of a photo shoot and editing in my pajamas kind of day, with a warm cup of tea. My hubby is making me some hot soup just as we speak. What's New in the Shop

I have been slowly working on some new or slightly tweaked pieces in my shop. I also went crazy this week and bought a lot of new stock so that will be made in about a months time. Here are some of my new items, and I have a few more that I will be adding to Etsy once I have the time to edit all the photos and add their descriptions on Etsy (which is time consuming but satisfying). I really LOVE the daisy heart necklace and I'm really happy with how the ring came out. Check into my shop , and some new products will all be added in the next day or two.

Work in Progress

The last few weekends and days off work have been spent working on my Etsy shop LOVE n LAVISH. I know that with summer practically here It's time for me to add new items and more products. I love the whole process too, of creating a piece with the beautiful materials I have, taking photos and then hours of Edits in Photoshop to correct lighting and make the best image crops. I've adding some beach/summer inspired products too, since I love wearing that kind of jewelry in the summer (seahorses and starfish).

I have also been collecting some really beautiful flowers and leaves and thinking about ways to improve and change the style of my pressed flower jewelry. I love working with flowers and resin, but this year I want to change up the look a little. I'm still thinking about it, but do expect more brass pendants with flowers and leaves very soon!

Sickness Prevails and a Berry Feature

 I have had time this past week to make some new items for my shop and edit old photos. I am also working on some items to add for Christmas time, and I will be posting them on the weekend. Oh and I was lucky enough to have an item featured on The Berry last week. It's the blue agate tear drop necklace got some love last week and now I have just this one left. I love The Berry, they have some really funny posts, post some photo's of hot guys and showcase some really great fashion pics.

Oh ya, and I did finally get sick.Sigh. It started with K's mom, whom K visited 2 weeks ago.Then K got the sniffles and I took good care of him and cleaned everything,including my hands like 1000 times. Then all of last week I sneezed a lot and now here I am today blowing my nose and praying it doesn't get any worse because I have to work tomorrow and I hate going to work sick. K is a really great guy, & if it gets bad he will take good care of me. So, today I am resting,drinking tea and going to bed early.
