Wow, it's been a long time since I posted. I still have my shop, but I don't have the time that I use to. I am a Mother now of a 20 Month old and I try to find time to work on my shop while he has a nap. I'm not sure how it will work once he doesn't nap. Hopefully by then he will be in school or preschool. I love my son so much and motherhood is damn hard and rewarding at the same time. I have a much greater appreciation for my own mother who I have always known was awesome, but now I have a bigger love for her.
Things change, and just before my son arrived my dog died. Gosh I loved that dog with all my heart and I don't know how we go on when our pets die. She was so funny and kind hearted and I miss her dearly. I think of her daily and wish we had a few more years with her.
I've changed the look of my jewelry and with that I am able to access stones that I really love. Labradorite is one of my favorite stones and you can find a lot of different pendants available in my shop. I have a lot of Turquoise as well as Jasper stones and a few other types of stones that I am drawn to. I love how my shop is running right now and I hope that I can have an awesome year because my family needs it right now. We are saving so that we make some changes in our life. I'm not ready to speak about it fully at the moment, but I will post some personal news soon.
Anyway, here is a look at some new items in my shop. Find me on instagram!

The Process of Creating
I was asked to do a write up on my shop Fauna and Forest for Storenvy, and a part of me hesitated. I hate to talk about myself, I really do. I am a pretty privet person who is really modest and I hate to go on and on about myself. But I know as a buyer of online products that I love to read about other
shops and their process, so I put on my head phone and listened to some Lana Del Rey and wrote. I wrote about creating, my process and what
inspired me to run both shops Love n Lavish and Fauna and Forest. Here
is a little clip from the page, which will at some point be on the front
page of Storenvy.
My Canadian nature shop was created about a year ago because I was looking for a way to share more of my Botanical Resin Necklaces. I am drawn and inspired by the beautiful colors and textures found in flowers and plants and I love to collect and press flowers and leaves. I walk a lot, and I love that I really am able to appreciate and be in the present each day of my life. A walk in the summer and springtime has me examining lots of the beautiful flowers, foliage and ferns that are blooming, and Autumn is a time for me to enjoy the beautiful shades of red, yellow and orange that Fall can bring. I pick plants and flowers that I am drawn to, and what I think would make for a beautiful piece. The resin preserves and showcases the beauty of a simple yellow flower petal or a red leaf that has a bit of yellow in it from the changing of seasons. These resin pieces are very special to me because they are truly one of a kind. Nothing in nature is the same, no leaf is exactly the same as the next and no flower looks exactly like the one beside it, and that gives each customer of mine something really special to own.
Yup, that's my desk area! It's pretty small and usually more messy. I also have this really great organizer with all of my beads, but it's not photogenic. Feel free to read the whole write up too. In the end I did enjoy writing about what inspires me. Storenvy is featuring many shops this week that are having a 20% off in their shops. I am participating in that sale with other shops and you can check out the sale selection here.
I hope you enjoyed reading my write up, and if you have a shop of your own, what is the best thing about running it? How long have you run your shop and what is the best thing about doing it for you?
Have a great weekend!

Sickness Prevails and a Berry Feature
I have had time this past week to make some new items for my shop and edit old photos. I am also working on some items to add for Christmas time, and I will be posting them on the weekend. Oh and I was lucky enough to have an item featured on The Berry last week. It's the blue agate tear drop necklace got some love last week and now I have just this one left. I love The Berry, they have some really funny posts, post some photo's of hot guys and showcase some really great fashion pics.
Oh ya, and I did finally get sick.Sigh. It started with K's mom, whom K visited 2 weeks ago. Then K got the sniffles and I took good care of him and cleaned everything, including my hands like 1000 times. Then all of last week I sneezed a lot and now here I am today blowing my nose and praying it doesn't get any worse because I have to work tomorrow and I hate going to work sick. K is a really great guy, & if it gets bad he will take good care of me. So, today I am resting, drinking tea and going to bed early.

Sunday Creating Time
Another rainy day.... and I hear there is more rain to come. I hope this storm that is coming is all blown out of proportion, and I am thinking that Toronto may just get a lot of wind and hard rain at the most. All of this inside time has given me a chance to add items to my two shops. I have added some new photos, made some edits, and Pinned on Pinterest this morning, like there is no tomorrow (yikes!). Check them out!
1. Feather and Leaf Earrings see them here. Turquoise chips added to the first two feather earrings and the leaf earrings have these amazing mint blue/green Czech glass beads.
2. Real Flower in Resin Necklaces see them here . I love the romantic look of the rose bud pendant, and the yellow wild flower fit perfectly for that shape of pendant. I love working with real flowers and plants.
3. Tribal Inspired Turquoise bead necklace worn my me and seen here. The purple Amethyst stone necklace has some of the most amazing shades of purple (which isn't so easy to photograph) and a real earthy look which can be seen here.

Ode to the Kitty Cat!
1.Painting from Olive Dear on Etsy: called Cat on mid century chair. I've seen this look many times from my own black cat. Her dark fur and then those watching eyes.
2. I'm crazy about Tatiana's very cool cat shirts from Cat's Secret on Etsy. Even a man can rock one of these shirts.
3. I'm sure if you have a cat then you have seen this perched position before. This painting is by fellow Canadian Heather Horton and called Nefertiti Tindolini .
4. Ratcha from DooDesign makes these really adorable coin purses and even cell phone cases with a variety of cat designs.
5. If you love whimsical fun accessories, then these cute cats can be found on Ali's Etsy shop called The Lovely Teaspoon.
6. This surreal print is by Ana Magruder and I love everything about this image. My first cat looked like this cutie. Find this print at her Etsy shop.
7. Cathy Peng Art & Design is also an Etsy shop owner from Toronto, like myself, and she has a really great shop including everything from apparel to paper goods.
This is my sweet cat Misha. I do love cats, and I will always have a cat in my life. Misha is sweet and at times she gives my husband and I a really good chuckle. I love her small face and her pretty green eye. Not all cats are sweet, I know because I once had a biter. I hope you like this cat inspired entry!

LOVE IT ! - Friday Finds
I'm not really a name brand kind of girl. I like nice things too, but sometimes buying into a brand is over rated. If I can find something beautiful that is handmade and one of a kind I feel much better about spending the extra bit of cash. BUT, while pinning a few things this morning I found this cute Ralph Lauren Bag. I thought I would share it. I love the design and the mix of materials.

Birthday Plans
Tomorrow is my birthday!! I love my birthday and even if I don't do anything too exciting, it's still a great day. I start my new job next week so I do not have to work or book a doctors appointment just to get out of work (teehee).
Tomorrow I plan on spending the morning with the best guy in the world, my hubby. I'm going to drag us out of bed early, take us down the street to this cute family run breakfast/lunch shop and enjoy my birthday morning. As far as the rest of the day goes, I'll wing it and do whatever I feel like.
I picked out a few cute things i'd love for my birthday (my wish list) and you can have a look.
I have always loved this style of boot, and they look so comfortable. You can find them on urbanog.com .
I have been eyeing this ring for a little while now,its so pretty and you can find it on etsy from another fellow Canadian shop. Jasper is such a pretty and interesting stone.
Okay, so now I am getting carried away, but man oh man if I had this hot tub or even a chance so soak in it for the day then my birthday would be really fantastic.
What would be a fabulous birthday gift is to get this book by Deborah Harkness, which is the second book of the trilogy. I might cuddle up with my dog Coffee later in the evening and enjoy some red wine and start on the second book.
Anyway, another year to celebrate! I won't blog tomorrow, but I take some pics during breakfast and post them on Wednesday.
