I love the fall and the cool crisp air which is quite the change from the warm September air. I love Pombers fox gloves, they are so cute. I think that beret and the green scarf would go great together and look great on me too! My husband could rock that men's sweater and I really want those boot cuffs to go with my black boots that are the exact boots pictured in Ad Knits photo. I'm Dreaming of Spring

 

The weather we have been having hasn't been terrible, but I'm so ready for spring. Today is really cold and the sidewalk is covered in ice and the roads are white from the coldness.I love long sunny days, walks in the park, a bike ride during a summer evening and Ice cream at the beach. I'm not a fan of winter clothes so today I went hunting for some nice spring/summer outfits. The last photo/outfit is a look I would wear in May and I definitely need a leather jacket like that one. I would ditch the heels for flats, only because my feet can't handle heels ( too much pain). Are you having a long cold winter too?

Fall & Winter - Scarves Anyone?

I have a lot of scarves, and every year I some how end up buying "just one more". Sigh. I love scarves because they are a great accessory to change up an outfit or a look. Scarves are as versatile as jewelry, can be as cool as a great handbag and you can keep wearing them for quite a few years. Here are a few of my favorite looks that you can wear in the Fall and Winter. By the way, I love the boots in the last photo too.

Thursdays usually get me excited because I know that the weekend is just around the corner. Friday Treasures

Happy Friday! 

Are you as excited about the weekend as I am? It' been a short week here because of our Thanksgiving Monday, so I'm really excited that Friday has come so soon. This weekend I may pick up a few new supplies for my shop ( new beads and stones) and my husband wants to get out tonight, but it's kind of a surprise on where we are going.

Birthday Plans

Tomorrow is my birthday!! I love my birthday and even if I don't do anything too exciting, it's still a great day. I start my new job next week so I do not have to work or book a doctors appointment just to get out of work (teehee).

Tomorrow I plan on spending the morning with the best guy in the world, my hubby. I'm going to drag us out of bed early, take us down the street to this cute family run breakfast/lunch shop and enjoy my birthday morning. As far as the rest of the day goes, I'll wing it and do whatever I feel like.

I have been eyeing this ring for a little while now,its so pretty and you can find it on etsy from another fellow Canadian shop. Jasper is such a pretty and interesting stone.

Okay, so now I am getting carried away, but man oh man if I had this hot tub or even a chance so soak in it for the day then my birthday would be really fantastic.

What would be a fabulous birthday gift is to get this book by Deborah Harkness, which is the second book of the trilogy. I might cuddle up with my dog Coffee later in the evening and enjoy some red wine and start on the second book.

Anyway, another year to celebrate! I won't blog tomorrow, but I take some pics during breakfast and post them on Wednesday.

Falling into Autumn

I would not say that Autumn is one of my favorite seasons. The only reason I dislike fall a tiny bit is because I know that it can be followed by a long Canadian winter of cold temperatures,deep snow and heavy bulky clothing. But today I have decided to share some of the reasons why I do like Autumn.

 These socks are amazing! I love warm fun socks that can make an outfit really fun. I even would wear them miss matched like in the photo.

I love this rustic Autumn inspired Necklace. The leaves are the perfect fall shade and it would look great with a thick warm sweater or cute cardigan.

 Wow,this ceramic bowl is so beautiful! The mix of turquoise and browns are perfect. I could imagine having a warm oatmeal breakfast on a cool October morning in this bowl.

This hair clip immediately made me think fall. I love this oak leaf,it has lovely details and would look great with a fall and winter outfit.

I love the color yellow, and when the leaves start to turn yellow they look so vibrant and warm in the sunlight. I love this photo because I wish I were standing in that forest.

How could I not add some pumpkin foods, which you can only get at this time of year. I love pumpkin pie and those muffins look yummy. I just would need a cup of coffee and I would be in total foodie heaven.

Crisp Cool Air

Today and yesterday I posted a few new items in my shop and I thought I would post them for you.


I love these imprint brass leaf earrings which have really lovely turquoise chips at the top of the charm. I made myself a pair of these earrings and they are really lightweight and pretty. Find them here.




I love working with resin and pressed flowers and plants. I have a large collection of flowers and plants that I picked this spring and summer and yesterday I posted this small rose bud and moss necklace. It's a small size and really romantic looking. Find it here.

Our beautiful summer is coming to a close and I can feel it in the air even during the mid afternoon when it use to be so hot. There is this cool crisp air that feels fresh and energizing, but because I know it means that fall and winter are just around the corner I can't really enjoy it. So I work on my
shop and celebrate all of the beautiful plants and flowers that have just a few more months.
